G.I.F.T.S. 2021 – Call for Presentations

Great Ideas For Teaching Students (G.I.F.T.S.) provides an excellent opportunity for faculty members and/or graduate students to share classroom-tested “great ideas” with other educators. In alignment with the conference theme, Changing the Conversation/Conversations about Change,” submissions are encouraged which address and/or explore the various interconnected levels of change which characterize current dimensions in the communication field as well as in the surrounding society. 

G.I.F.T.S. submissions should be emailed as a Word document attachment to evelyn.plummer@shu.edu no later than July 31,  2021. Selected panelists will be notified via email.

Adjunct Opportunities at Fordham University, Spring 2021

The Department of Communication and Media Studies at Fordham University is currently seeking experienced instructors to teach a range of undergraduate courses in the Spring semester 2021.
 
LOCATION & MODALITY 
Teaching normally takes place at the university’s Rose Hill campus in The Bronx or Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan. However, the COVID-19 pandemic means that in Spring ’21, instructors will be permitted to choose their teaching modality following a Flexible Hybrid Learning model, meaning that an instructor may choose not to teach in-person. GIFTS 2020 – Call for Presentations

Great Ideas For Teaching Students (GIFTS) provides an excellent opportunity for faculty members and/or graduate students to share classroom-tested “great ideas” with other educators. In alignment with the conference theme as well as contemporary events, submissions are encouraged which address and/or explore the various communication interplays among action and perceptions and impact. Submissions may present an activity, assignment, project, game, simulation, etc. for addressing a specific communication theory, concept, skill, or learning objective.
